Part 34- Final



“Hey hyeong...” – Taek Yeon.
“Something up in your mind that you wanted to ask that neither is nonsense nor impossible?” – Jae Beom.
“Uhm...yes.” – Taek Yeon. He continued; “Do you mind one day for you to accompany me to the wedding ring store? Please?” Jae Beom stopped all of sudden and turned his body around. He raised one of his eyebrows as he looked at Taek Yeon.
“Mind that she is too young. Wait until you’re 24 years old.” – Jae Beom.
“Y-Yes, I know that. By then, will you?” – Taek Yeon.
“Sure, of course.” – Jae Beom. He turned around back and continued what he left out. “Taek Yeon, she is my one and only sister I got in the world. I don’t just give her to someone else that is irresponsible. And you know what I mean, right?”
“.......I-I’ll be responsible.” – Taek Yeon.




It went silent for the past 20 minutes then Jae Beom broke the silent.


“Taek Yeon, mind that tomorrow is the day for Jun Su to go to his appointment. I want you to accompany him.” – Jae Beom.
“It’s tomorrow?” – Taek Yeon.
“Anything’s wrong with it?” – Jae Beom.
“I’ll go instead.” – Hae Ji, she showed up from out of no where.
“Wait, are you sure? Taek Yeon, you go with them along.” – Jae Beom. Before he left the kitchen, he turned around and looked at both Hae Ji and Taek Yeon. “........Because I don’t want anything to happen in between.” After he has left, Taek Yeon turned his body around facing Hae Ji.
“I don’t want you to come along. I don’t want anything to happen.” – Taek Yeon.
“No, I’ll come.” – Hae Ji. She continued; “I’m going upstairs to check on Jun Su oppa.” She left and went upstairs and left Taek Yeon alone in the kitchen. He sighed then Chan Sung showed up.
“Hyeong...” – Chan Sung. Taek Yeon jumped when Chan Sung pop out just like that.
“Oh, you!! Don’t do that, it made me a heart attack and you just nearly gave me one.” – Taek Yeon.
“Hyeong is banana head.” – Chan Sung.
“Ehh...? What did you just called me?” – Taek Yeon.
“Nothing.” – Chan Sung. Taek Yeon rolled his eyes.



When Hae Ji entered the room, she looked around but none was there. Slowly she turned around and coincidently Jun Su showed up.


“Ahh, there you are oppa.” – Hae Ji.
“Oh, Hae Ji.” – Jun Su.
“Oppa, are you alright?” – Hae Ji.
“Yes, a little bit.” – Jun Su.
“Oppa, me and Taek oppa will be there with you.” – Hae Ji. Jun Su just nodded and left. Hae Ji sighed then Taek Yeon showed up not long ago.
“Hae Ji, don’t worry about him. He’ll be alright. He can handle it.” – Taek Yeon.



The next day, at the hospital –

While waited for Jun Su, Taek Yeon and Hae Ji sat outside at the waiting area. Hae Ji didn’t sleep well last night that she fell asleep on Taek Yeon shoulders. But after awhile waited, it’s finished and Jun Su came out looking very tired. Quickly Taek Yeon woke Hae Ji up gently. When she opened her eyes, the first one she saw was Jun Su stood right there in front of her.


“Jun Su oppa...” – Hae Ji, weak tone.
“Hey, sleepy head. Are you tired?” – Jun Su. Hae Ji nodded. “Don’t you sleep well last night?” She shakes her head. “Why?”
“Nothing particular, oppa.” – Hae Ji.
“It’s very weird because the whole times I knew you, you never sleep after 12:00 am. Why now?” – Jun Su.
“Oppa, it’s really nothing. Don’t worry about it.” – Hae Ji.
“How can I now worry about it? You...are the closest one that we got to know. Being Park Jae Beom sister, we’re lucky enough to get to know you.” – Jun Su.
“Oppa, why are you talking this way?” – Hae Ji.
“Nothing. Let’s just go home now. I don’t want to stay here any longer.” – Jun Su.



Back at 2PM place –

When they arrived home it’s started to rain cats and dogs, there wasn’t anyone but just the three of them and its total silent. Jun Su went to his room directly without saying anything to Hae Ji and Taek Yeon.
Something happened when all of sudden unknown caller called on Hae Ji’s cell phone. Quickly she picked it up and answered it.


“Hello?” – Hae Ji. Taek Yeon just looked and watched her, she smiled at him and he smiled back.
“Park Hae Ji. It has been awhile I haven’t heard that voice of yours.” – ???
“Hey? Who is this? You seem to know me.” – Hae Ji.
“Of course I am. Because I know you for years already and I am standing here the only one that still remember you.” – ???
“Mister, I seriously don’t recognize your voice, so I don’t know. Just tell me whoever you are, that’ll end of every question.” – Hae Ji.
“Tsk, pity this Park Hae Ji. What happened to your memory span?” – ??? Before Hae can say anything, Taek Yeon grabbed the phone away from Hae Ji and she looked at him in shocked.
“Hey!!” – Taek Yeon. He screamed in the phone. “Whoever you are, stop calling this number, understand?!!” Then he just ended it like that. He looked at Hae Ji and she’s still surprised and disbelief. “What? Don’t look at me like that. I don’t like that kind of people.” Hae Ji giggled.
“Oh oppa, you’re always like this. I am not very surprise.” – Hae Ji.
“So...you’re alright with it?” – Taek Yeon.
“Of course yes.” – Hae Ji, she paused for few seconds then she continued; “Oppa, it still raining so heavily.”
“And I clearly can feel its very cold compare to usual.” – Taek Yeon. “Oh, we should play outside in the rain.”
“Wait, no. I don’t want to face the cold.” – Hae Ji.
“I’m serious. Quick, grab your raincoat and rain boots. There are puddles out there and I want to play it. Let’s go!!” – Taek Yeon.
“Fine oppa, I’ll go get them. And I thought Chan Sung being the young one would be the one in this but I expected wrong.” – Hae Ji. She went upstairs to get her stuff and later, when she went back down, Taek Yeon already in his rain clothes outfit and buttoning his raincoat buttons. Slowly she approached him and she helped him button up his raincoat.
“Thank you, Hae Ji. That helps lot.” – Taek Yeon. He looked at her from bottom to up and smiled.
“No problem oppa, any time.” – Hae Ji.
“You’re wearing this crème yellow raincoat.” – Taek Yeon.
“Yes, it’s a gift from oppa. I love this raincoat very much.” – Hae Ji.
“It looks great on you.” – Taek Yeon, he grabbed her hand right away. “We should go out now while it still raining.” Then that instant, he ran to the backyard while pulled Hae Ji along.



At the backyard:

There were many puddles and Taek Yeon looked very amazed and so happy that there were enough puddles to play with it. Quickly he grabbed Hae Ji and ran to the puddles and when he’s already close, he jumped on it and the water splashed all around. Again he did to other puddles and kept on doing it without stopping.
Hae Ji just watched Taek Yeon being like 5 years old little boy and it made her smiled. He had fun playing it like before when he suddenly stopped. He turned around and looked at Hae Ji. Slowly he paced his steps forward Hae Ji.


“Aren’t you having fun?” – Taek Yeon.
“Oppa, define fun. But you really love playing outside on the rain, huh oppa?” – Hae Ji.
“Well....yes. Isn’t this fun? Like, where we can be that inner child kind of thing, you know what I mean right?” – Taek Yeon.
“I know, but...I-I get fever easily with the rain.” – Hae Ji, she started to sneeze.
“Oh, you poor baby.” – Taek Yeon, he moved closer to Hae Ji and gave her a big hug. “I forgot you can easily get a cold. Let’s go inside and make you warm.”



When they entered the house, someone knocked on the door. They looked at each others with curious looks on their faces. Taek Yeon moved forward to the door and opened it. Shocked they were to see a person they don’t know stood there and clearly his eyes on Hae Ji and smirked at her.


“Park Hae Ji....tsk, how could you ever forget about me?!!” – ???
“Hey, you!! This is private property.” – Taek Yeon.
“Tsk...This is unbelievable.” – ???
“Who...are you?” – Hae Ji.
“People nowadays, I could not believe my eyes.” – ??? He looked around but none was there except both Hae Ji and Taek Yeon. “Wait for your brother then we’ll know who I am.” He smirked while walking to the sofa.



Hae Ji and Taek Yeon didn’t speak off at anything, until when the others has returned, one by one of their eyes became so huge when they saw an unknown person sat on the sofa in the living room. Jae Beom who’s the last one to enter the house, he was stunned a little bit seeing the others froze like a frozen statue.


“What’s with everyone?” – Jae Beom. Hae Ji ran towards him and she hid behind his back. “Now what’s wrong with you, Hae Ji?” All of sudden, the unknown person stood up and showed himself at Jae Beom and he clearly couldn’t believe his eyes. “You!!” He smiled at Jae Beom then he looked at Hae Ji and threw a smirked at her. “What is your purpose for coming over here, Byung Sooh!!?”
“Of course, my only purpose here is to take Hae Ji, your beloved sister there back to the State.” – Byung Sooh.
“You will never take her!!” – Jae Beom.
“I’m not going with you!! I don’t even know you.” – Hae Ji.
“Well, I have the feeling someone made you forgot about me, huh Jae Beom.” – Byung Sooh, he looked at Jae Beom. He stared sharply at Byung Sooh.
“Hyeong, who is he?” – Woo Young.
“He’s the son of our adopted father; Hwan Byung Sooh. He’s full to himself and he is someone that we shouldn’t get into trouble with.” – Jae Beom.
“I don’t like him at all.” – Taek Yeon.
“Neither does us.” – Jae Beom.
“Hey, I am still here!!” – Byung Sooh.
“Go away, Byung Sooh. Your existence here is not welcome. Go home!!” – Jae Beom.
“Oh, I will go home my dear brother, not without Hae Ji there.” – Byung Sooh.
“You are not taking her away.” – Jae Beom.
“Hey, I’m not the one that wanted to do this; I just follow what dad wanted me to do. I just followed his order.” – Byung Sooh. Jae Beom shocked at what he just heard. He became speechless, he doesn’t know what to do or think when it comes to their adopted father. Byung Sooh grinned then slowly he grabbed Hae Ji hand and pulled her along with him.
“Hyeong, he’s taking Hae Ji away. Aren’t you going to stop him?” – Jun Su.
“No....I cannot do this. Disobeying our adopted father decision is like suicide.” – Jae Beom. Everyone was shocked and couldn’t believe their ears at what Jae Beom just stated. “And Taek Yeon, don’t do anything stupid, just don’t. Please, for now.”
“Hyeong, what will ever happen to Hae Ji?” – Jun Ho. Jae Beom went silent; slowly it became gloomy day for them.

The next day, at the State –

When Byung Sooh entered Hae Ji’s room at her adopted father house, the second he showed up, she kicked him on his leg. It made him hopped upside down in pain. That instant, she ran downstairs to where her adopted father office’s at. When she barged into the office, there sat on a brown leather chair the – big boss of the house. He smiled when he saw Hae Ji.
**(On their way to the State, Byung Sooh told everything about her role being in the family. Now she remembers everything clearly.)**


“Ahh, Hae Ji. What brought you here?” – Mr Hwan.
“Dad, was it true that maniac said you’re the one who asked me to be here?” – Hae Ji.
“I couldn’t recall if I did ask him to bring you here. Now, where is Jae Beom? He’s not here?” – Mr Hwang. Hae Ji looked very irk when she know it wasn’t Mr Hwan wanted her to be here. Quickly she left the office and headed to the kitchen. When Byung Sooh came downstairs, Hae Ji showed up with a frying pan on her hand.
“Ahh, there you are. Damn, you can kicked like....” – Byung Sooh, he didn’t finish his sentence when he got hit by a flying pan. Right away he fell down on the floor.
“That what you deserved at what you have done when dad obviously didn’t ordered you!! Liar!! I am going back to Korea.” – Hae Ji. She kicked him again then ran upstairs to her room.
“Darn, who gave her the frying pan!!? I forgot that girl has temper issue.” – Byung Sooh, murmured to himself.



Later, when Byung Sooh went to Hae Ji room, again, he smirked at her and she threw irked stared at him. It has no effect at him then he leaned his body rested to the wall. She looked at him.


“What do you want?” – Hae Ji.
“The engagement between you and that Ohk Taek Yeon.” – Byung Sooh.
“What about it?” – Hae Ji.
“End it.” – Byung Sooh.
“What!!? IT’S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS IN THIS!! Butt off, you lunatic.” – Hae Ji.
“Oh well, whatever that make you don’t want to end it, I’ll reveal to their fans about the secret relationship.” – Byung Sooh. He continued; “Then by that, they will know the truth behind those boys private life especially him.”
“Are you blackmailing me, Byung Sooh?!!” – Hae Ji. “I am going to tell dad about this.”
“Tell dad...then it will be over!!” – Byung Sooh.
“You!!” – Hae Ji.
“Do it, then just like that, everything will be a disaster. If you love him very much, end everything, or else!!” – Byung Sooh.
“Damn it Byung Sooh!!” – Hae Ji. Byung Sooh started to laugh. “Why did you do this?”
“Because........I want my revenge to get back at Jae Beom.” – Byung Sooh.
“What did my brother got to do in this?!!” – Hae Ji.
“Because of his success in his career, since before dad always treated him so special and me? I am his real son – flesh and bloods, but he treated me like nothing. Do you know how that I felt about that? It hurt, damn it!!” – Byung Sooh. He continued; “I am taking you as the plot of my revenge because I know how much Jae Beom meant to you and I know he’s willing to do anything even when it means by risking life.”
“Leave him alone!!” – Hae Ji.
“Oh, will I? Will I do that? NEVER!!” – Byung Soh.
“You are just...!!” – Hae Ji.
“I don’t care, what end need to be ending!!” – Byung Soh. “End it or else. Not just about revealing to the fans, this included about destroying Jae Beom career as well. Choose wisely.” That second, he left the room with laughter.



That second, Hae Ji doesn’t know what to do anymore. She’s stuck in what to do. Everything just went upside down for her. She doesn’t want to end it, she just started to love him but now, she has no choice. To tell the truth, there’re always the consequences – she doesn’t want to risk it or Jae Beom career will be no more for him anymore.
She don’t know what to do, she doesn’t want her brother groups to be fall apart because of this. She doesn’t know anymore. She has to do one thing what is right for her. She has to do it for the sake of her brother. She’s torn apart, her mind went black out. She can feel that her world will be a devastated.
She doesn’t want to do it, but she must do it. Slowly, she picked her cell phone and dialed Taek Yeon number. It rang but not long, Taek Yeon picked the called with a simple “Hello...”


“Oppa...” – Hae Ji.
“Hae Ji?!! Is that you? How...” – Taek Yeon, he couldn’t finish his sentence when Hae Ji cut it off.
“Oppa....I’m sorry. But between us, it’s over. And please, don’t look for me. Focus on your career. It’s more important than me. I’m sorry, I couldn’t do this anymore. I love you, but it just, I couldn’t continue anymore. It’s just a risk for us. I don’t want your fans started to hate you. Please, oppa. Please, continue on with your life; never think about me or anything that involved about me. Start now, forget about me. This will be the last time you will hear about me. And oppa, I have one thing, please do it for me. Oppa, please, find someone much better than me. I know that one person will love you more than I can ever be. Goodbye oppa. I love you.” – Hae Ji. Before Taek Yeon can respond, she ended it right away.



Taek Yeon was shocked at what he just hears. He couldn’t believe at what has happened. He dropped the cell phone to the floor and still in shocked. Nichkhun who was there saw Taek Yeon dropped his cell phone. Slowly he lowered his body and picked the phone up and gave it back to Taek Yeon but he didn’t move at all.


Meanwhile, Byung Sooh clapped his hand when Hae Ji has done like what he wished for just now. He laughed and Hae Ji slammed the door closed right to his face. Tears flow down through her cheeks, she felt the pain that’s strong enough its hard for her to bear. Suddenly she fell down to the floor unconscious and she’s still in tears.


Two and a half weeks later, when she woke up, she found out she’s at the hospital. She looked around and saw Mr Hwan. He aware she has woken up; quickly he got up and walked towards her.


“Finally, you have waked up.” – Mr Hwan. Hae Ji nodded in such weak action. He continued; “That Byung Sooh!! How dare he done this to you. Hae Ji, how are you today?”
“Hae Ji? Who is that?” – Hae Ji.
“That’s your name. Don’t you remember?” – Mr Hwan. Hae Ji shakes her head. Mr Hwan was about to open his mouth when the doctor that aided Hae Ji came with a nurse.
“I believe she has amnesia and lost her memory.” – Doctor.
“Amnesia? That couldn’t be happening.” – Mr Hwen, he paused for a while then he continued; “Doctor, can we talk?”
“Let’s go to my office and we can talk there.” – Doctor. Mr Hwen nodded then they left the room heading to her office.




“I wonder who I am.” – Hae Ji, she thought.
