Hoop...basketball and faith? – One Shoot

Hoop...basketball and faith – One Shoot

“Why do you even played like them boys?”
“Are you alright with that? I mean playing like those boys?”
“You should hang out with us, girls. Then we can go talk about girls stuff and not....get sweaty all the times.”
“That is disgusting, sweating. It is like....you have to go shower every time you sweats. It’s icky.”
“And you wear those clothes? Why aren’t you wear like us and do make-up? Being just plain is like...gosh, I don’t want to know.”
“Just quit with those boys and hang with us girls. We are your friends, and not them. How could you have thought about them ore than us?”
“Ji Hae, it is not too late. Ditch them and come with us.”

All of those things they said right to my face, they always so true.
The fact that is I hated when they saying like that, but still they are still my friends.
It is just that, they don’t understand me. I am not trying to abandon them.
It just, those boys whom I play basketball with, are non-others than my friends.
I love them as much as I love the basketball and I have fun playing it.
Is it so hard for them to understand?
I have been in this game like ever and it is not so easy just to leave it like that, can you?
I know I will be sweating every time, but...I love it because it gives me in shape.
More than ever with basketball, it is not like I don’t know how to use make-up or anything.

At the basketball court’s... –
At 5:00 pm... –

“2 more minutes...then take a break!!” – Seung Hyun.
“Alright!! And hey, how about you, Ji Hae. Are you alright with it?!!” – Seung Ri.
“Of course, this is Ji Hae!! As if you boys don’t know me.” – Ji Hae.
“To be honest....mahn!! I feel so drifted to know Ji Hae is better than me.” – Dae Sung.
“Yah!! As if you guys aren’t any better. The five of you are high school basketball player, how could you even say like that, ehh?” – Ji Hae.
“Well apparently....GD is injured, so....hmmm...” – Young Bae.
“Guys, you go ahead playing, I’m going over at the bench with Yongie.” – Ji Hae, as she throws the ball to Seung Hyun right to his stomach so hard it pushes him a little bit when he caught the ball.
“Oiiee, why do you have to throw it so hard, ehh!!?” – Seung Hyun, shouting at Ji Hae.
“Stops shouting, Seung Hyun. You know she’ll just ignore it.” – Seung Ri.

Seung Ri is totally right when Ji Hae didn’t bother turn around and just run towards the bench at where a guy with blond hair is sitting with his notebook.
Somehow he don’t focus on the boys playing yet spending his time much on the notebook.
When Ji Hae has reaches there, she jumps to the bench at where Ji Yong sits.

“Yongie...are you alright?” – Ji Hae, happy tone.
“I’m alright. Why aren’t you playing?” – Ji Yong.
“Hmm...Well, obviously I am here to see if you are fine or not. Are you?” – Ji Hae.
“I am....Go Hae, play with them.” – Ji Yong.
“Ahh...” – Ji Hae, as she gasp and put her right hand on Ji Yong forehead making him stun a little bit.
“Why are you gasping?” – Ji Yong.
“No...I thought you have a fever but apparently you aren’t.” – Ji Hae.
“Are you playing around with me, Hae? If yes then I found it so not funny.” – Ji Yong.
“Aishh, Yongie...you change.” – Ji Hae, starts to standing up.
“Why are you like this?” – Ji Yong.

Ji Hae starts to run off leaving the court yet she forgot about her bag.
Ji Yong wants to stop her but she has already gone from his sight.
He sighed heavily and without wasting anymore time, he takes her bag and off he runs to where she is heading.
Young Bae saw Ji Yong leaving and quickly he tells the others.

“Do you guys just realizes that GD is leaving the court already, just now!!?” – Young Bae.
“Where in the world he gone too!!?” – Seung Hyun, high tone yet a little worried.
“Did he run? He did, didn’t he?” – Seung Ri.
“Oh gosh, that blond headed kid!! He run in his condition, that boy never learnt.” – Dae Sung.
“Ji Hae isn’t here anymore....think, those two, have issue again. Sigh....” – Young Bae.
“Seriously, those two!! Tell me, is it just me or those two are together or now?” – Seung Hyun.
“Everyone thought they are, but we know the truth, aren’t we?” – Seung Ri, smirking.
“*laughing* I always thought this year going to be different.” – Dae Sung, as he laughing off.

Meanwhile... –

Ji Yong runs around looking for Ji Hae and he couldn’t find her anywhere.
He must have lost her, as always.
He stops at one point where he raises his head to the sky and stares at it for seconds long.
Then suddenly someone greeted him from behind making him to turn to the owner of the voice.

“Yongie-ahh...what are you doing here?” – Tae Ahn.
“Oh...hey Tae Ahn....I am looking for Ji Hae.” – Ji Yong.
“Oh...her. Well, forget about her sexy blond and let’s go out...spending time together.” – Tae Ahn, as she pulling his arm towards her.
“Hey...no. Don’t call me like that, it is pretty much awkward.” – Ji Yong, pulling his arm back.
“Why not? Aren’t we suits together? You are the famous high school player and I am the head cheerleader and both of us are in the same school, no?” – Tae Ahn.
“Whatever, Tae Ahn. Like it or not, we are not have that mutual feelings, understood?!! And never will.” – Ji Yong.
“Why are you like this?” – Tae Ahn.
“And what is wrong?” – Ji Yong.
“Like this, now!! You always chasing after her but....you two...aren’t even going out together. Not mutual, yes?” – Tae Ahn.
“Zip your mouth, Tae Ahn. This is not your business, so shush your mind up.” – Ji Yong.
“Asihh, you!!” – Tae Ahn.

Ji Yong starts to feel so irritated towards Tae Ahn, and he decided to walk away.
Just as he is turn around to make his leave, Ji Hae appear and she didn’t realizes she use the wrong way.
When she saw Ji Yong and Tae Ahn, quickly she approaches both of them.

“Ahh, Yongie, quick!! Something need to be done, Young Bae is in trouble, again!!” – Ji Hae, directly she grabs Ji Yong hand and start to run and pull him with her.

They keep on running until they arrive at the bridge. And slowly she reduces her speed until she stops she let go of Ji Yong hand.
She sighs heavily and slowly walks forward while putting her hands to the back.

“You seriously do need to find a quick excuse, next time, Yongie...” – Ji Hae.
“.......So that you don’t have to come and save me?” – Ji Yong.
“Yes, I cannot do that every time, can I?” – Ji Hae.
“Well, apparently yes, you can.” – Ji Yong.
“I cannot anymore if this seems to continue any longer, Yongie. I have saved you since before but I cannot do it forever, can’t I?” – Ji Hae.
“Just say yes....” – Ji Yong. Slowly, Ji Hae turns her head around.
“Ehh....?” – Ji Hae.
“Because....well, you know what I am up for now...? My condition I meant.” – Ji Yong.
“..........” – Ji Hae.
“I don’t think so there will be any chance for me to go back playing what I love, Hae.” – Ji Yong.
“You lie...!!” – Ji Hae. “Basketball has been like.......your life. You cannot just........”
“Unfortunately, yes!! This is what I must face the fact in my reality life, Hae. Not fantasy or made up.” – Ji Yong.
“Why don’t you tell me so?” – Ji Hae.
“Because, I don’t want too....at first.” – Ji Yong. “But now, you know already. There is no different.”
“You always hiding thing from me, Yongie.” – Ji Hae.
“Should I tell you if I meant to hide it? No, right? I don’t have any intentions to tell anyone. If I do, I just might tell the whole world.” – Ji Yong.
“Then.....” – Ji Hae. Ji Yong was waiting for Ji Hae to finish her sentence. “Well, I am going now. Just don’t fall for the women trap anymore, for today that is.”

Ji Hae starts to move forward as she is heading back to the basketball court where the others are at.
When she has return there, she search for her bag but it wasn’t there.
She looks everywhere until Seung Ri approaches him at the same time he is wiping his sweats off.

“What are you looking for, Eii Ji?” – Seung Ri.
“Ahh, my bag, Seung Ri. Have you seen it?” – Ji Hae.
“Erm...I am not sure, Ji.” – Seung Ri, he turns around and starts to shout at Young Bae. “Hey, Young Bae-ahh, have you seen, Ji bag!!?”

When Young Bae heard his name been called by Seung Ri, he quickly jog towards them.
As he has come by, Seung Ri throws Young Bae towel at its owner.

“What is wrong? You called, Seung Ri.” – Young Bae.
“It’s Ji...she said, have you seen her bag?” – Seung Ri.
“I saw Ji Yong ran with you bag awhile ago. Have you bump into him already, Ji?” – Young Bae.
“.........” – Ji Hae, stun. “My bag!!”

Ji Hae started to run out off the court and once again they leave them behind.
She run back to the bridge and hoping he is still there.
When Ji Hae has arrives at the bridge, Ji Yong is still there standing close in front of the bridge edge at the same time he stare at the sky that flow slowly.
Ji Hae saw Ji Yong’s still there and her bag as well on the ground leaning to the bridge wall.
She sighs in relief and slowly she approaches him.

“Ahh, Yongie-ahh, thank goodness my bag is actually at your.” – Ji Hae.
“Hmm...ahh, this? Yes, I was running tried to catch after you but you ran so fast.” – Ji Yong. “.........Then, when I saw you again, I forgot all about the bag until you ran off again. But I just stayed here because I know you will return back.”
“Thank you, Yongie.” – Ji Hae, gentle tone.
“Okay, deal? I am sorry...” – Ji Yong.
“What so...? Why so sudden?” – Ji Hae.
“About just now....I shouldn’t have argued with you. I am sorry.” – Ji Yong.
“Oh...about that, well then...forget it. I have forgotten it and it is already by gone-by gone...” –Ji Hae.
“Ahh, such cruel of you...so fast, why?” – Ji Yong.
“*chuckles* Yongie-ahh....” – Ji Hae.
“Thank you, Hae.” – Ji Yong.
“Now...for?” – Ji Hae.
“For forgiving me...” – Ji Yong.
“Yongie-ahh, we have known for so long already. You know I will always forgive you. I could never stay mad at you for so long. Not even for a day.” – Ji Hae, as she touches Ji Yong’s right cheek.
“Ahh...why does it...you have to make me weak, always!!?” – Ji Yong.
“Well, aren’t I always, Yongie?” – Ji Hae, smiling.
“I always love you, always.” – Ji Yong.
“You know I do the same too. You know, right? I tell you I love you when we are 15 years old, remember?” – Ji Hae.
“Of course, I do. Every memory we have. I always keep it safely.” – Ji Yong.
“Now, don’t go for cheesy line with me, Yongie. It won’t work for me.” – Ji Hae, giggle.
“Don’t change, I love the way you are now.” – Ji Yong.
“Thank you, Mr blond.” – Ji Hae.
“Now, why you call me that?” – Ji Yong.

“Nothing...
I just feel like wanting to say it.”
