Episode 5 - Final ?
On a very cold day, winds blew a bit midst, yet it doesn’t change Hong Ki mind when he is supposed to be having day off, and he chooses the other way. Somehow, his destination this time is out of his mind when he is going to meet someone that is on his least person to see. But, for one reason, he’ll do anything for it just to end it.
He takes transportation by walking there instead of high class transport. He didn’t want to make any ruckus or havoc or attentions from other people and wanting it all to be low class and ended perfectly with no harm at all. It takes a bit long rather than by car to arrive at the location.
Later, when he has arrives at the destination, before he enter the building, he stare from the outside and sighed with vexed before he moves any further. Stepping into the huge infamous building as he thought and hope nothing goes wrong and ended it with swiftly, he is brave enough to face someone so well-known and a bit older than him.
Ji Yong who is talking with Young Bae, Ji Yong seems to see or he thought his eyes are deceiving him, that not far from where he is standing, Hong Ki moves forward approaching him. Stopping just right in front of Ji Yong, facing his face, he is a bit quiet for a second and stares at him.
“I’m coming here just for one and only one reason, Kwon Ji Yong.” – Hong Ki.
“So tell me, what is it that you wanted to ask or tell me. I don’t want any bad things going on between the both of our company.” – Ji Yong.
“As you know already, the necklace....I beg you to give it back to Sung Ji. It is not because of us or anything, but it is very important to her. And you know that already, but....really, Ji Yong. It is very huge matter for her.” – Hong Ki. “..........And....I will do anything for her just to see her happy smiles again.”
“Anything?” – Ji Yong.
“Yes, anything....I will do anything.” – Hong Ki.
“So, just saying that if I return it back to her.....and in return, I want you not to see or meet or talk with her again.” – Ji Yong.
“Ji!! What are you trying to say? You....!!” – Young Bae, who is really disagreeing with Ji Yong decision on other people life’s and happiness. Hong Ki stun at what Ji Yong wanting him to do, but for her, he’ll do anything even it sacrifices his happiness as well.
“Fine....as long as you keep your words, I will!!” – Hong Ki.
Ji Yong and Young Bae stun and astonished by Hong Ki words and answer. Both of them couldn’t believe it that he will say like that. Maybe it is true then, anything for love; one person can blindly do anything without thinking much more deep and also never thought of the other side’s feelings.
After Hong Ki has left, Young Bae throw angry stare at Ji Yong as he is really upset at Ji Yong. Young Bae never expected to hear those words from his own mouth. Ji Yong turns his face the opposite way from Young Bae. Ji Yong knows that Young Bae is really angry with him. Slowly he turns around and head off to the restroom.
“I’m very disappointed on you, Ji.” – Young Bae.
After has met Ji Yong, Hong Ki didn’t head back to his place directly. He goes to Sung Ji’s school where about few more minutes, the school will be end. And that’s mean; Sung Ji will be heading home as well. Waiting outside Sung Ji’s school, Hong Ki felt a bit of shiver and cold due to the weather. It will be snowing soon and everyone is wearing thick clothes and there is no exceptional for Hong Ki either.
“Ahh....cold weather....I wonder when there will be a snow.” – Sung Ji.
“Sung Ji....” – Hong Ki.
“Hong Ki..?!! Why are you here?” – Sung Ji, she is surprise to see Hong Ki is coming to her school even though he didn’t actually go inside the school area. She smiles seeing his face and approaches him. She puts her arms locked around his then both of them started to walk together.
“Sung Ji....” – Hong Ki. As he looks at Sung Ji, she looks so very happy and that makes him harder to tell her everything. Yet, little fewer things, he doesn’t have the heart to tell about the deal he had made with Ji Yong earlier. Especially about Ji Yong, as he promised not to see her anymore, it so heartbreaking for him. But he has no choice, does he?
“Hong Ki....Is there anything wrong? You looks displease and I can sense it something bothering you very much.” – Sung Ji. She stops moving all of sudden as she gives the worried looks at Hong Ki. He couldn’t face Sung Ji’s at all, but he has to do it no matter what.
“Sung Ji...I.....” – Hong Ki, very hesitates and harder for him to open his mouth whenever he is about to tell Sung Ji. He really doesn’t want everything to end when their relationships hold more than 2 years and so and a decision of one day can destroy it all.
“If there is something you wanted to say, say it now, Hong Ki...!!” – Sung Ji, she sounded so upset when Hong Ki becomes silent for minutes long.
“Sung Ji...It is nothing. I don’t feel good right now; I’ll just head home now. I’ll call you later, maybe. Just....ahh, I don’t know anymore.” – Hong Ki.
Hong Ki left Sung Ji there just like that as he heading home and he didn’t tell her yet. Really, for him it is harder because he doesn’t want to lose everything when the expected is he will. But because he wanted it for her to be happy, he do anything even so he has to sacrifice the huge thing in his life. When he has arrives home, he directly heading to his room and throw his body to the bed.
After Hong Ki has left earlier, Sung Ji seems to be so angry that he left just like that without explanations and she know he has one. When he has arrives her place, surprise she is to see that Ji Yong is there waiting for her. Not to let her anger take over, she calm down a little bit and slowly walks to Ji Yong. He throws smirks at her when she is approaching him.
“Hey...long time no see.” – Ji Yong.
“It is...for so long and I really hope it keep it like that. Why are you here and what reason you wanted to be here?” – Sung Ji.
“I came here for one reason and I think it is about time for me to return to its rightful owner.” – Ji Yong.
“Huh? What are you saying?” – Sung Ji.
Ji Yong slowly takes off the necklace he wears from his neck and handing it back to its owner. Sung Ji is really astonished to see that he is really returning it back to her when he put it on her hand. After at what has happen, he didn’t say at all, even a little nor mentioning anything about the deal he have made with Hong Ki.
“Ji Yong...wait..!!” – Sung Ji. She runs toward him and pull his back clothes. He stops and slowly turns his head around.
“..........” – Ji Yong.
“Why are you giving it back to me? I don’t understand...” – Sung Ji.
“There is more than anything that is important to you that you have to reach for. And I know I have it with me all the times, but I realize that wasn’t the most important one for me. But it is to you...I know I destroyed it all and everything, thus I returning it back to its owner – you, Sung Ji.” – Ji Yong.
“........Thank you, so much...but I still....” – Sung Ji, not yet she finish her sentence, Ji Yong pushes Sung Ji to the wall. He may push it too hard, it may pain her lots, and it looks like he didn’t care at all.
“You....” – Ji Yong.
“Ji Yong...that hurts.” – Sung Ji.
“I don’t want to do this but I have already done it. I don’t want to hurt you, but I have already done it. You......why does it have to be you?!! Our past, our time, it all has been destroy....just like that. I hate it, but it tortures me very much. I don’t want this; I don’t want this in my life. You kill me....and I don’t know how to be like before anymore. I try, but I fail. I am no like other people.” – Ji Yong.
“................” – Sung Ji. At what everything Ji Yong has said, it has made Sung Ji so speechless.
“Why can’t you be gone....from my memory?!! And when I have completely forgotten about you, somehow you appear on the other side and worst, you made me crazy. I try to calm, but you made me more pain.” – Ji Yong.
“Then gone, NOW!! Leave...I don’t need you to be here, NEVER have I wanting it.” – Sung Ji, pushes Ji Yong away from her.
“It is completely OVER!!” – Ji Yong.
“You are shallow, Ji Yong, very shallow person.” – Sung Ji.
Without saying anymore to get even, he just left the place, leaving Sung Ji’s behind. As he is hoping it will be the last time for him to see her but if that is what he wanted, why is it that he seems to be looking so regretting? Argued with someone just to end it all is not a very wise choice especially when it comes from him himself. After he is gone from her sight, he knocks the wall off making an impact on the wall. At the same time, it is stain with bloods that is coming from his hand. Bloods dripping on the floor from his hand, it hurt him lots yet he doesn’t want to take it.
“Why does everything have to be ended like this?!! I never wanted this whilst I want it all to be done with. Loving someone from the past, it makes one person crazy from it, especially when we know she is belonging to someone else already.” – Ji Yong. “You are one smart guy, Kwon Ji Yong...really one smart guy.”
“Are you regretting it now, Ji Yong?!!” – Young Bae, whom just show up from out of no where and it makes Ji Yong shocked to see him. He throws a sharp stare at Young Bae as he is hesitating about Young Bae actions.
“Why should I, Bae?!!” – Ji Yong, turning his head around and face somewhere else as he knows Young Bae is peeved at him right now, he’s just want to avoid it just like always whenever Young Bae in that kind of conditions.
“You know what I meant by what I mean, Ji. She doesn’t know about it, you better make this right back again.” – Young Bae.
“Ehh, I don’t know what you mean by that.” – Ji Yong.
Young Bae doesn’t know what to say anymore to his best friend Ji Yong. He know even if he say it to him how many time it is, Ji Yong won’t even listen to him. To him, Ji Yong is very stubborn in one case and that case is unfortunately revolves around his childhood friend and love.
By all means, Ji Yong will do anything just to make him happy, but he never consider about the other side feelings. He just wants everything to goes around him.
2 days later... –
On one fair weather night, just as Ji Yong about to go out, when he’s just taking his jacket out of his closet, suddenly someone in front of the door knocking on the door. He looks lost at the same time he head to the front door. When he opens the door, it surprises him that the one in front of him standing is Sung Ji.
She looks like just crying at the same time very upset. Somehow at that moment, he becomes so speechless and didn’t know what to do. The infamous Kwon Ji Yong; who knows to do everything perfectly, is somehow hesitated and trapped.
“Sung Ji?!!” – Ji Yong.
“Why, Ji Yong? Why do you do this? I don’t understand you...!!” – Sung Ji.
“Ehh? I don’t understand...what is going on?” – Ji Yong.
“No...No more pretending to be one goodie-goodie with me, Ji Yong. You just have to destroy it, don’t you?!! Even my life...” – Sung Ji.
“............” – Ji Yong, his mind really stuck and don’t know what more to do. Not this time, he cannot be someone perfect in front of the one person he loved eyes.
“I don’t know why you hate me so much....I just don’t.” – Sung Ji.
“Why don’t you explain to me first? I really don’t know...” – Ji Yong.
“No, Ji Yong!! No more....I am really despite you more than ever. Even you are very famous, but to me, you are just like any other person. But you are shallow, deeper than that.” – Sung Ji. She wipes her tears with her hand. Slowly she turns around without saying anymore and starts to make her moves after.
“Wait!! I really, seriously I swear I don’t know.” – Ji Yong.
“It is over, between me and Hong Ki. This is very great news to you but to me it’s the end for me. For so long we have been together, but in just one day you destroyed it as the whole.” – Sung Ji. She didn’t look at Ji Yong face and without wasting anymore times, she starts to run off.
“Sung Ji...wait!!” – Ji Yong.
In a rush, and don’t want to lose the track of her, Ji Yong quickly close the door and starts to run after her. But it looks like he slowly losing her just like what happened to him before in the past. And he doesn’t want it to happen to him again and don’t want to repeat it, he speeds up and finally he catch her up.
He grabs her hand and pulls her right towards her and when she is fighting herself to escape from him, that’s makes Ji Yong to hold her more tight making it hard for her to escape and at the end, she give up.
“Don’t run from me anymore!!” – Ji Yong.
“Why?!! Just so that you can do more stupid things with that stupidity actions of yours?!! I hate you, Ji Yong. I hate you!!” – Sung Ji.
“You know when you say that to me, it irk me. Seriously, Sung Ji, I don’t joke around!!” – Ji Yong.
“You are one, Ji Yong. You are one of a joker to me. Now, let go!!” – Sung Ji.
As the situation getting tighter when it caught the peoples around them attention, at the same time, Hong Ki walk pass on the same route as them and it caught his eyes. Quickly, he run towards them even so between them is no longer there in their life. But so, he still loves her and wanting to protect her no matter what. He still doesn’t want to break the oath he made for her.
“Ji Yong!! Let go of her...!!” – Hong Ki.
“You have no business in this, no longer there is, Hong Ki. So, butt off!!” – Ji Yong.
“Don’t say like that to him!!” – Sung Ji. He pushes Ji Yong so hard that it makes him to step backwards and eventually he lost his balance and falls down to the ground. It froze Sung Ji for a second but for Hong Ki, he grabs her hand and starts to run off pulling her along with him.
It weird that Ji Yong just standing up and rub off the dust away from his clothes and didn’t even catch after them. He just let them loose and turns around and head back to his place using the other way. He know he has lost for so long already but it makes him realizes it today. He just sighs and continues his life even so he didn’t get what he wants. Meanwhile in the other hands, both of them keep on running until they arrives at one location where they always go and the same place as well was the place where they first met.
“That’s a safe called. I guess he won’t catch up after us...” – Hong Ki, he’s panting lots as he run like there is no tomorrow. Guess he didn’t use to running.
“You......” – Sung Ji.
“Hey....I don’t know what happened between you two, but I was just passing through and it spoils my view, so I had to stop it.” – Hong Ki.
“I guess....I’m just.......making it uglier.” – Sung Ji.
“Hey, don’t say like that....” – Hong Ki. Slowly he walks towards Sung Ji and stand right in front of her in a very close distant. He moves his hand slowly to Sung Ji’s face yet he doesn’t know why he is shaking. Maybe he is still afraid after at what happened and he doesn’t want to make it a false move just like what he did to both of them. When his hand is already closer to his face, Sung Ji turns her body around and starts to make a move. He couldn’t do it, quickly he pull his hand back to him.
“I don’t want anymore....I just want to go home now.” – Sung Ji.
“Just that......before I go, before I make it all clear and end it....I just want to ask one question, Hong Ki...”
“What is it?”
“Between us....there will be no longer......existed, does it?”
“............I am unsure of that. I seriously don’t know. But I know that, I just..........”
“I understand now. Don’t worry; you don’t have to stress it all out anymore.”
“Sung Ji.....I know I made mistake, but could you forgive me?”
“I always forgive you, Hong Ki....always. Don’t you realize that?!!”
“Am I being forgotten but not forgiven?”
“One more thing....could we be just like before, again one day in the future, Sung Ji?”
“I always love you...always, Hong Ki. I am happy to be with you but I don’t know if you are the same.”
“I’m sorry....is this the last farewell for the both of us?”
“I’m afraid it is. But I hope we could meet with each other again in the future and be friends by then?”
“I would love that...I am looking forward for that, Sung Ji.”
“Thank you.....”
