Keep this a secret, yes?: Secret, still? - One Shoot



Year has passed and the secret still remains as secret.
The only person so far knows about Yatsuro Kana secret is none other than the one who Kana pointed as the most annoying one; Takumi Kira.
He never bluffs and he promised not to tell anyone even so he’s Shu Kaiji’s best friend. Not just they, they became closer making their friendship a question mark.


Kana is now in year 4 class A’s meanwhile this year will be the last year for her brother Ryuu, Kaiji and Kira. Early month next year, they will be graduating and goes to college depends on their remarks. Half of the months have passed and now, it’s nearly at the end of the month.
Between Kana and Miname, they never become so close, they only remain fellow classmate and that’s just that.




Location: In front of Yatsuro’s place –


‘Ahh, it’s cold.’ Kana said while rubbing both of her hands to make warm herself. Slowly she turned around facing her house; she stared at the front door. Not long after, two tall men came out from inside. Both of them looked at Kana smiling but only one of them walking towards her.
‘Sorry I’m late. Ryuu was taking a bit slow.’ Kira said while looking at Ryuu and he grinned at Ryuu after.
‘Kira, take care of my sister there. She is the only one I have and don’t you do anything to her that makes her cry and regrets.’ Ryuu said before they left.
‘Onii-chan!!’ Kana said. Kira smiled while he patted Kana head.
‘Do not worry, Ryuu. I will.’ Kira said before they left.




Location: School –


Just when they’re about to steps inside, Kira grabbed Kana hand.
Kana turned around and looked at Kira.



‘Are you sure it’s okay for me to join your class holiday celebration?’ Kira asked. Kana smiled.
‘Of course it’s alright, Kira. I invited you, remember?’ Kana said. Kira didn’t let go off Kana hand instead he held it tightly.
‘Can I just hold your hand like this until....’ Kira didn’t finish his word.
‘I don’t mind, Kira.’ Kana said as she smiles to Kira.




While holding each other hands together as they walked to Kana classroom, Kira never let go of it until they have reached her classroom.
When they opened the door, everyone eyes were on them. They’re the only left that hasn’t come. Even Kaiji was invited by Miname. When Kaiji saw the two of them holding hands, he seems bothered and unpleased with it. Miname saw Kaiji’s expression; slowly she grasped his left arm sleeve and tugged it repeatedly.



‘Shu, are you alright? You looked very trouble.’ Miname asked. Kaiji turned around and looked at Miname.
‘Oh? Ahh, don’t worry. I’m alright.’ Kaiji smiled by forcing himself. Slowly he turned his head back around and stared at Kira and Kana joyous. He sighed. Kira noticed of Kaiji’s watching them. Slowly he moved his head closer to Kana and whispered something to her.
‘Looks like someone is watching us right over there, Kana.’ Kira whispered. Right instant, Kana looked at Kaiji for few seconds then she started to laugh lightly. She turned around and whispered something to Kira.
‘He’s clueless.’ Kana whispered. Kira couldn’t help it but to laughed. With their actions, it has made Kaiji more bothered and unpleased.
‘Shu.’ Miname spoke. But Kaiji ignored and kept on watching Kana’s and Kira’s joyous with each others.




The whole days celebrating, Kaiji didn’t enjoy a single thing when all the time he’s bothered by Kira’s and Kana’s happy times.
Miname bothered by Kaiji’s behaviors that it has made her upset but she denies it.
At the end of the day, one by one went home until it only left Kira, Kana, Kaiji and Miname.
Kira looked around and when there’s no one left except for the four of them, he slowly stood up.



‘Shall we head home, Kana?’ Kira asked.
‘Kana?’ Kaiji thought. Kana smiled and slowly she stood up. Kira handed his right hand out to Kana, slowly she accepted it. Before they left, Kana turned around facing Kaiji and Miname.
‘We’re going home now. It was fun today.’ Kana said with a smile carved on her face. They waved at each others and left just like that. Miname looked at Kaiji.
‘Shu, you looked troubled, again.’ Miname said in a sad tone.
‘No, don’t worry. It just something in my mind that’s really bothers me.’ Kaiji put a smile on his face just to makes Miname feel inoffensive. ‘We should head home as well. We’re the only two that’s still here.’




Location: Yatsuro’s place –


Standing in front of Kana’s place, before she goes inside, Kira moved closer to Kana.
He knows she’s shivering from the cold. Quickly he wrapped his thick scarf around Kana neck.




‘I hope that will keep you warm.’ Kira said stuttering – and the fact that he himself is shivering from the cold as well. When Kana looked at Kira trying to be a gentleman, she slowly took the thick scarf and wrapped it around Kira’s neck as well making the both of them share one thick scarf. Kana smiled even so her cheeks became really red already.
‘Don’t make yourself cold just to impress others, Kira.’ Kana said. She continued; ‘You’re shivering here, Kira. I can see it.’ Kira just laughed knowing that she’s right. He moved closer to Kana and when he’s about to kiss her, Kaiji showed up and he saw something that he shouldn’t when he’s about to go inside his house – he and Kana lived next to each other house. Kira saw Kaiji and quickly he moved next to Kana.
‘Ohh....’ Kaiji exhaled. Kira smiled.
‘Shu.’ Kira said. ‘I like Kana.’ Kaiji was shocked. Kira started to laugh.
‘Oh, this means you two are going out now?’ Kaiji asked.
‘It depends on Kana here.’ Kira smiled as he looked at Kana. Kaiji looked at Kana.
‘Yatsuro Kana.?’ Kaiji questioned with Kana name.
‘Yes?’ Kana answered.
‘You’re Kana?’ Kaiji asked.
‘You’re clueless, Kaiji.’ Kana said. She turned around facing Kira. ‘It’s cold. I’m heading inside. I’ll see you tomorrow then.’
‘Alright Kana.’ Kira responded. After Kana has left, Kira looked at Kaiji.
‘She didn’t tell but she did to you?’ Kaiji asked. Kira just smiled then he left after he patted Kaiji’s shoulder. He left without saying anything.

Sunday;
Location: Café –


Kira and Kana went to the café together. In the middle of waiting for their drinks to come, coincidence Kaiji and Miname came to the same café as they were.
Kaiji stunned when he saw Kana and Kira since he knows something a late. When Miname saw Kana and Kira, she turned around and looked at Kaiji’s face – he was surprised.



‘Shu.’ Miname called Kaiji’s name. Kaiji looked at Miname and put a smile on his face. ‘Shu, let’s go somewhere else.’ Kaiji just nodded and they left the café. Just when they left the café, Kira saw both of them leaving.
‘They came here?’ Kaiji mumbled.
‘Who is, Kira?’ Kana asked. Kaiji pointed his index finger to Kaiji’s. She turned around and saw Kaiji with Miname then she turned back around and smiled at Kira.
‘You don’t mind?’ Kira asked. Kana shook her head.
‘No, not really Kira. Beside I am here with you, that more matter.’ Kana said.




Later;
After they have left the café, they went to the supermarket to but groceries for later night dinner.
Again, Kaiji and Miname clashed into Kira and Kana and this time, they cannot left like what they did earlier in the café.
They stared at each others for few seconds and didn’t move from where they’re standing.



‘You’re here.’ Mimane said pointed to Kana. She continued; ‘Now I remember from where I have seen you before.’ Kana smiled.
‘Of course yes.’ Kana responded. Miname moved closer to Kaiji, she wrapped her hands around his left arm.
‘I’m not going to give Shu to anyone especially you.’ Miname said with a little bit of upset in her tone.
‘Oh you don’t have to worry. I have no intention in doing it.’ Kana laughed lightly. Kaiji froze; he couldn’t say anything at all. Miname then looked at Kira.
‘Isn’t it obvious? She’s with me.’ Kira said with a light laughter. Then he continued as he looked at Kaiji; ‘Isn’t it true, Kaiji?’ Kaiji’s still in his frozen state.
‘We’re going, Shu.’ Miname said while pulling Kaiji with her. After they have left, Kira put his hands around Kana and hugged her tightly.
‘I meant it.’ Kira whispered to Kana. He continued; ‘I’m the one that first knew about it rather than him. Even so it’s still a question mark.’ Kana smiled then she turned around facing Kira’s.
‘I’m not bothered with Kaiji and Miname. Past has got nothing to do with the present.’ Kana said. She continued; ‘Beside, being with Kira relax me more.’

One day;
Kira went to Kaiji’s place. He rang the doorbell and when the door opened from inside, Kaiji showed up. Kira smiled to him but Kaiji didn’t at all.
Kaiji invited Kira inside but he refused too since he’s in such a rush.



‘Kaiji.’ Kira said. He continued; ‘I’m telling this because you’re my best friend and we’re rarely hanging around with the guys since things came just like that.’
‘Telling me what, Kira?’ Kaiji asked.
‘Right now, Kana is waiting at the park and in few seconds, I’m heading there. I just wanted to tell you that I like Kana so much.’ Kira said.
‘Wait, what!!? But you, Kira, you’re...’ Kaiji didn’t finish his sentence when Kira left just like that. Kaiji groaned when Kira didn’t even let him finish talking.




Location: Park –


While waiting for Kira to arrives, Kana patiently waiting for Kira to show up. Minutes later, Kira showed up as he running towards Kana like being chased by a ghost.
Kira reduced his speed when he’s getting close to Kana and eventually he walked normally as he approached Kana. Kana smiled when Kira finally arrived.



‘Kana, forgive me for coming late.’ Kira’s apologizing to Kana. Kana shook her head and smiled.
‘It’s alright, Kira.’ Kana said gently.




That moment, Kira moved closer to Kana. He grabbed both of her hands and held it tightly. Slowly he leaned his head closer to Kana and kissed her on the lips. At the same moment, first snows fell from the sky.
When they stopped kissing, they realized it has been snowing and together they looked to the sky and snow fells onto their face making themselves a bit cold. They smiled at each others knowing they shared the same feelings.



‘I like you, Kana.’
