I Remember

Part 3

The festival continued on a beautiful night but not for Sa Byeon when Tempo showed up in the middle of her with Taek Yeon.

“I’m not interested in what you’re going to say next, just stop bothering me.”
“I just wanted to tell you that I remember.”
“Whatever you’re saying, I do not want to hear it.”
“What does he mean he remembered, Byeon?”
“I don’t know, Taek.” Sa Byeon continued; “Can’t we just move on? We’re wasting enough time here.”
“I was the kid from the past that was close to you.” Tempo blurted.
“Past? What is he talking about?”
“When we’re little, we used to play together. But when I returned from the vacation, you weren’t there anymore.” Tempo explained then it hit Taek Yeon.
“You don’t remember, Sa Byeon?” Taek Yeon surprised.
“I don’t, happy?!!” Sa Byeon cried.
“This guy who standing in front of us wasn’t there when you moved to another place because of your father career, but it was me. I was the one who was with you all the times until you and your family moved away. I couldn’t believe you didn’t remember about this and I couldn’t believe at that cousin of yours as well. You two have short term of memory. This made me very disappointed. Of all these times we’re together and our relationship has always been like a rollercoaster, I guess this mean we’re not meant for each others.”
“It was you?” Tempo and Sa Byeon said at the same time. Taek Yeon was very disappointed that he didn’t say anything. He shakes his head and walked off leaving the two of them behind. After he has left, Sa Byeon still in shocked conditions and when Tempo about to say anything, she turned around and decided to head home.
“Don’t say anything and don’t bother me anymore.”

Sa Byeon left before they could enjoy the festival together but it turned out to be their last time and since then they never meet with each others anymore, not even clashing with each others by accident.

A month later, when Ji Yong came to Sa Byeon place, he found its quiet empty and silent.
Right that moment, he looked everywhere around the place but he found nothing but just a sticky note plastered on the refrigerator door. He pulled it off and read it right away.

“I’ll be home, soon.” – Sa Byeon.

“Home? What is this girl up to?” Quickly he called her up on her cell phone but she seems to shut it off. Then he tried calling Young Bae and Dae Sung and the same answered he receives from them was that they couldn’t reach it either.

Somewhere –

“I’m home.” Sa Byeon greeted the second she entered her house. Not long after, her mother showed up with a smile and greeted her back.
“Welcome home. How’s Seoul? Did you have fun?” Sa Byeon shakes her head.
“A little bit.” Her mother smiled.
“Did you meet your cousin there?” Sa Byeon nodded.
“He’s still the same – with his foolish act and all that. He will never grow up, mom. I swear he’ll never grow up.” She paused and ran towards the living room then he ran back from where she came from. “Mom, where’s daddy? I thought he’ll be in the living room. He’s always there every time I came home.” Her mom smiled.
“Your dad went out to buy some noodle for dinner tonight.”
“Really? We’re having noodles tonight? I’m so happy I couldn’t wait.”
“Now, go get yourself clean.” Sa Byeon nodded and went up to her room.

When Sa Byeon entered her room, the first thing she did was throwing herself onto the bed. She lied down whilst staring to the ceiling.
All of sudden, she just remembered that she switched her cell phone off. Quickly she switched it on and she was surprised that she receives lots of calls and text messages.
All of Ji Yong text messages, she ignored it all. Then she stunned when she saw one of the text messages sender.

“What does he want, really?” Sa Byeon thought to herself. Slowly she opened the text messages and it stunned her massive. For a little message, it has made her tears out.

Slowly, she dozes off and fell asleep until her mother called her up for dinner, she couldn’t wake up due to exhaustion from the long tripped.

Nearly a month later, at the Coffee Bean, just as she’s about to pay for her Ice Blended Mocha Latte, someone from behind handed the money for her drinks over her shoulder.

“Thank you. Please come again.” Sa Byeon was shocked for someone to pay her drinks. Slowly she turned around and she was surprised to see Taek Yeon stood right there. She was angry that she shoved the drink at him.
“I don’t want that.” She walked off leaving him behind. He paced his steps and chased after her. When he’s close enough, he stopped her as he grabbed her hand.
“Wait!! Why do you run off from me?”
“Should you even ask why?”
“Yes.” He continued after he sighed; “I have the rights to ask you here and there.” Sa Byeon quickly pulled her hand away from him.
“No!! Not after what happened on the night of the festival. You don’t even have the right to come here!!” Just as Taek Yeon about to open his mouth, Sa Byeon’s already ahead of him. “And no, do not bother me again!! I hate that!!” She ran off before Taek Yeon can respond to her.
“For a girl, she can run like someone in a marathon race. She really likes running off.” Without wasting anymore time, he ran off and chase after her. When he caught her, he pulled her towards him. “Do you really like running that much especially from me?”
“No, you made me run from you.”
“Look, I’m sorry.” That instant, Sa Byeon pushed him off away from her.
“Get away from me. I don’t need anything from you.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Do you think I would forgive you that easily after at what you have said to me?”
“I know; it was my mistake for me to have said that to you.”
“Just get away from me. You hurt me and I don’t want to be hurt anymore.” She stepped away from Taek Yeon. Slowly she turned around and ran off leaving him behind.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered after she has left.

Few days later, when Sa Byeon turned to the corner side, Taek Yeon showed up and it made her jumped in surprised.

“Don’t do that!!”
“I just want...” Taek Yeon couldn’t finish his sentence when Sa Byeon walked off. “Sa Byeon, please.”
“No.” She didn’t stop and kept on moving forward.
“You’re ignoring me.”
“Yes, and if you may, ignore me as well, thank you very much.”

Taek Yeon couldn’t take it anymore or being patience, immediately he grabbed her hand and pulled her as he paced his steps quickly.
Sa Byeon tried to pull her hand away from him but he grasped it too tightly until she finally got her hand away from him, Sa Byeon lost her balance and when she’s about to fall down, Taek Yeon grabbed her by the waist.

“Careful. You nearly fall there.” Slowly he lifted her up and put her back on the ground. He smiled at her but instead Sa Byeon slapped his chest repeatedly. He didn’t stopped her and just let her do what she wanted to do. Until few minutes and few slapped later, he grasped both of her wrists and pulled her towards her. Before she could escape from him, he locked her and embraced her tightly yet gentle. “I’m sorry.” He leaned his head closer to her face and kissed her forehead. “I’m really sorry.”

“You are not forgiven yet. Don’t you ever think you have already!!” Taek Yeon smiled.
“Yes, I know. I will get it to you until you really forgive me.” Slowly, Sa Byeon smiled and hit Taek Yeon head gently.
