Keep this a secret, yes? - One Shoot



‘Kana!! Yatsuro Kana!!’




The second she heard her name got call, she turned around. When she saw the person calling her name, she was in shocked.




Flashback:


‘Kaiji!!’ Kana ran towards Kaiji whilst holding thick book closed to her chest.
‘Oh, it’s you Kana.’ Kaiji spoke then he saw the thick book Kana held. Slowly he took the book from Kana hands. ‘What’s this Kana?’
‘It’s a book, Kaiji.’ Kana explained then Kaiji laughed all of sudden. He returned back the book to Kana.
‘Really, I am not that interested. So what’s up? Why are you looking for me?’ Kaiji asked while walking forward followed by Kana from behind then she paced her steps so that she could walked side by side with Kaiji.
‘Nothing particularly.’ Kana said then all of sudden she stopped moving while grabbing Kaiji right hand sleeves. ‘Kaiji, do you think I am beautiful?’ With a smile on his face, he responded.
‘Of course you are.’ Kaiji patted Kana’s head. ‘Now, let’s head home.’ He continued walking and left Kana behind.
‘I never thought I was beautiful.’ Kana whispered to herself.




One day, Kana went to see Kaiji. She looked very happy until when she saw Kaiji met up with a girl that goes to the same school as they are. She hid behind the tree and by accident; she listened to their conversation where the girl confessed her feelings to Kaiji.
When she has done with her speech, Kaiji turned the girl and her feelings down. After Kaiji ended the conversation by saying she doesn’t like her and rather not wanting to be with her, he walked away. The girl quickly grabbed Kaiji’s right arm wanting him to stays with her.
Slowly Kaiji grabbed her hand and moved it away from his arm. He looked at her with cold expression. Kaiji doesn’t look very please with her or any girl with huge commotions and makes everything as a fuss.



‘Why Shu? Why can’t you? We’re a perfect match!!’ She said very loud.
‘That’s the problem. I never like anyone who called themselves perfect. I don’t go for that. Miname, we’re not meant for each others. I cannot accept you when I don’t have feelings for you.’ Kaiji said then he continued; ‘Forget about your feelings toward me. If there’s nothing more to say, I’m going home.’ When Kaiji’s about to left the place, by accidents Kana stepped on a twig. Kaiji saw Kana hiding behind the trees. ‘KANA!!?’ Kana was in shock, quickly she ran off before Kaiji caught her. Before Kaiji could chase after her, Miname grabbed his hand.
‘SHU, PLEASE STAY!!’ Miname shout. ‘LET HER GO, SHU!! PLEASE STAY WITH ME!!’ Tears came out from her eyes. She really love Shu very much.




Kana never stops running. She kept on running until she stopped in the middle of the road by accidents.
When Kana’s about to run to the side of the street, it’s already too late when a car knocked her so hard, she got sent flying and eventually she fell on the ground and everything became worse in her. Kana fell unconscious on the road with bloods came out from her head.
Right away, Kana being sent to the hospital in a rushed and what happened next, Kaiji never been told at what happens to Kana. Further more, Kana and her family move to the other city for a better treatment for Kana.
By everyday, Kaiji went to Kana house and by everyday as well, he got the same question being unanswered. He never knew, from the starts until the end.


End of flashback.

Location: School –


‘Shu.’ Miname called Kaiji’s name whilst running towards him and she brought two bentos with her.
‘Oh, it’s you Miname.’ Kaiji spoke. He continued by asking her; ‘Oh, what’s up?’
‘What’s with that attitude, Shu?’ Miname asked Kaiji. ‘Are you hungry, Shu? I brought two bentos here. I made it especially for today.’ She looked around to the left and the right, searching for a bench for them to sit down. ‘Ahh, there it is. Quick, Shu.’ Miname grabbed Shu’s hand then she started walking to the bench while pulling him along.
‘I’m not really hungry.’ Kaiji said. Miname already sitting down on the bench with the two bentos on her laps, slowly she opened the top bento and when Kaiji saw it, he thought it was delicious.
‘But, I made this for us.’ Miname said while looking at Kaiji.
‘Well then, a little of those wouldn’t hurt.’ Kaiji said as he slowly sitting down next to Miname. When Kaiji agreed to eat with her, she smiled so happily and felt very joyous.
‘Here, let me feed you.’ Miname said while scooping the fried rice with a spoon. Kaiji moved his head backward.
‘Oh, it’s not necessary. I can do it myself.’ Kaiji said while grabbing one of the bento from Miname.




After recess;
Kaiji and Miname went back to their own classroom – Kaiji’s in class 5-A while Miname’s in class 3-A.
The second Kaiji entered his classroom; he felt so relief that finally he can get rid of Miname.
Just when he’s about to sit down, one of his classmate scooted over him while putting his arm around Kaiji’s shoulder.



‘Ahoy, Shu.’ He laughed.
‘You’re heavy. Get off me, Naohito.’ Kaiji shoved Naohito hand away from his shoulder.
‘I see you’re having delicious lunch with the most popular girl in school, Shu.’ Naohito laughed then he continued; ‘She must be your girlfriend.’
‘Of course she is Shu girlfriend. Those two has been together since they entered here. I bet you two have been together before entering high school, ehh Shu?!!’ One of Kaiji’s other classmate responded to Naohito jokes. All of them started to laugh making the whole class a chaos.
‘Not really. We’re not in that kind of relationship at what you people thinks off.’ Kaiji said after everyone has misunderstood his relationship with Miname. Everyone went silent and only left one person laughing lightly at it. Everyone turned around and looked at the person that just laughed.
‘Oh, I’m sorry? It is not funny? I guess I shouldn’t have laugh.’ He said with a smile. Everyone turned around and looked at him. He just smiled despite the whole class eyes on him.
‘Oh, it’s just Yatsuro.’ Naohito spoke.
‘You found it very amusing, Yatsuro?’ One of them said.
‘Why, you don’t Aki?’ Yatsuro said. Aki and the rest of the class remains silent until their teacher came to class. Yatsuro smirked after.




Location: Yatsuro’s residence –


After he reached home safely from school, he threw his body to the sofa. Just when he’s about to dozes off, all of sudden his stomach made a grumbled sound.
Quickly he jumped out from the sofa and walked to the kitchen. Few minutes searching high and low for food, there was none for him to eat. Again, his stomach started to makes grumbled sound.


‘I’m so hungry!! Where’s Kana for pete sake?’ He groaned. Just when he’s about to head to his room, the person he’s looking for just came home. ‘Kana!!’
‘Oh, Ryuu nii-chan. I thought you’re coming home late.’ She said while walking to the kitchen with groceries bag. Slowly she put down the groceries back on top of the kitchen counter table. Ryu ran towards the kitchen expecting his sister to buy some food for him to eat. ‘Nii-chan, I bought some cake. Here.’ Kana handed a box to Ryuu.
‘Ahh, thank you. I’m starving!!’ Ryuu cried.
‘Onii-chan, you didn’t eat it anything at all?’ Kana asked. Ryuu just shook his head while stuffing the cake into his mouth. After he has finished everything, he licked the creams from his fingers.
‘This is delicious.’ Ryuu said. After he has done licking all of the creams from his fingers, he walked to the kitchen sink to rinse his sticky fingers. ‘You remember that dude name Shu Kaiji?’
‘Why? You’re in the same class as he, nii-chan?’ Kana laughed lightly. But then she stopped when Ryuu nodded.
‘He doesn’t know I’m related to you.’ Ryuu chuckled. Then he continued; ‘That dude is clueless.’
‘He probably forgot who I am. I doubt he could recognise me now.’ Kana said while stretching both of her arms high up. ‘Well, since I just returned back here after all of this years, who would probably remembers me.’ She laughed.
‘You do not mind at all he didn’t remember you? You’re not bothered about this?’ Ryuu asked Kana while wiping his mouth with dry tissue. Kana shook her head.
‘Not really, nii-chan.’ Kana said then she continued; ‘But then, if he does. I’m happy he did.’ Kana laughed lightly.
‘Kana, since you’re staying here with me, are you having thoughts of going to the same school as I do?’ Ryuu asked while patted Kana head.
‘Since I don’t have anything to do, yes maybe I should?’ Kana laughed lightly again.
‘Alright then, you must start going to school tomorrow.’ Ryuu said. Kana just nodded.

The very next day;
Location: School –


Both of the Yatsuro siblings bowed down after they stepped out from the head master office.
Before Ryuu headed to his class, he patted Kana head gently.
Kana turned her head around and looked at her class teacher with a smile.



‘Are you ready Ms Yatsuro? Shall we go now to class?’ She asked. Kana nodded.




On their way heading to class 3-A, Kaiji who happened to be around there – which just came out from the boy toilet, he saw class 3-A teacher along with a new student.
Kaiji stared a bit long at the new student until he got a tapped from behind. Slowly he turned around and saw Miname stood behind him.



‘Kaiji, what are you looking at?’ Miname asked.
‘I just saw Mrs Ayuzawa with a new student. I guess you guys are going to have new classmate then.’ Kaiji said with a smile. Then he continued; ‘She does look very familiar, but I can’t bring it to myself.’
‘I ought to check this out. Shu, I’ll see you later then.’ Miname said before she ran to her class. Kaiji just nodded then he went to his class.




Location: Class 3-A –


When Miname returned back to her class, in front of the classroom, Mrs Ayuzawa’s introducing a new student to the whole classroom. When Miname was about to walk to her desk, Mrs Ayuzawa stopped Miname from walking further more.



‘Yes, Mrs Azyuzawa?’ Miname asked.
‘Ms Yatsuro here is going to sit next to you. Bring her along, Ms Harisawa.’ Mrs Ayuzawa said. Miname just nodded and followed at what the teacher said. Slowly they sat down next to each other. Miname turned around facing Kana and smiled to her. Kana smiled back.
‘Are you new here in town? I have never seen you before.’ Miname asked. Kana laughed lightly.
‘I’m not really new here, I used to live here but then few years ago, we moved away and just returned back here few days ago.’ Kana smiled.
‘Oh, but I have never seen you around before?’ Miname asked with a confused looks on her face. Before Kana could answer Miname question, Mrs Ayuzawa started the lesson making their conversation to stops.




*RINGGGGG!!!*



Its recess time, all of the students’ breath with a relief sighed. One by one left their classroom and went to the canteen and some stayed in the class with their bento. Some eat together and some eat alone.
Miname took out two bentos from her bag. Slowly she stood up and left the classroom right away.



‘I guess she’s having lunch with Shu senpai, again.’ One of the girls said. The others just nodded. Kana heard at what the girl just said. Kana started to standing up and went out of the class. She has no where to go then she remembered about Ryuu’s classroom. Right that moment, she headed to Ryuu’s classroom. When she arrived at class 5-A stood in front of the class, she looked around until one of Ryuu’s classmates approached her.
‘Are you looking for someone?’ She asked. From his desk, he saw Kana. Quickly he ran towards her.
‘Sumire, I’ll take it from here.’ Ryuu said from behind while tapping her shoulder. When Sumire turned around, surprised she was to see Ryuu.
‘Ohh, Yatsuro. She is your girlfriend?’ Sumire asked confusingly. Ryuu started to laughs at what he just heard with Sumire statement.
‘No, she is rather my sister.’ Ryuu said. Sumire was in shocked and surprised that she never thought that Ryuu has a sister. Slowly she turned around and looked at Kana. Kana smiled. ‘Kana, you’re having trouble?’ Kana shook her head.
‘Not really onii-chan. It just I have no where to go since I’m new here and all.’ Kana said. Ryuu moved his hand toward Kana head then he patted her head gently.
‘You’re hungry? We should head to canteen. I’ll buy you bread.’ Ryuu said, Kana nodded right away.




Location: Canteen –


Just when Ryuu and Kana about to enter the canteen, coincidence that Kaiji and Miname showed up and when Kaiji saw Ryuu with the new student he saw earlier, he ran towards them followed by Miname.



‘Yatsuro!!’ Kaiji spoke. Ryuu and Kana turned around when they heard someone called Ryuu.
‘Oh, it’s you.’ Ryuu simplify said. Kaiji then looked at Kana and he threw a smile to her not knowing who she is.
‘Wait!! Does this mean that Yatsuro Ryuu senpai is your brother?’ Miname said in a surprised tone. Kana smiled.
‘Yes, he is.’ Kana said.
‘Ohhhhhhhhhhh....!!!!’ Kaiji yelped. He continued; ‘I never knew you had a sister, Yatsuro.’ Kana and Ryuu looked at each others then they laughed at the same time.
‘Dude, you’re very clueless.’ Ryuu said while moving forward followed by Kana.
‘EHHHHHHHH?!!’ Kaiji yelped, again.


‘He is indeed clueless.’ Kana said. Ryuu laughed.
‘He’s always like that.’ Ryuu replied.

One day –



‘Kana!! Yatsuro Kana!!’




The second she heard her name got call, she turned around. When she saw the person calling her name, she was in shocked.
The person that just shouted her name quickly ran towards her.



‘I knew it!! You quickly responded when I shouted your name fully.’ He said. ‘You have returned. Did you remember me?’
‘Why would I forget the most annoying person ever in my life?’ Kana spoke. Then she smiled all of sudden. ‘Kira.’
‘I was shocked when I saw around the town yesterday. I asked myself who the person was when it turned out it was the same person I knew in the past and she has returned. You left without any single word, Kana. And you came without any single word as well.’ Kira said then he continued; ‘Wait, what do you mean by the ‘most annoying person’?’ Kana just laughed.
‘Kira, I’m surprised you could recognise me.’ Kana said.
‘I doubt at first but I am surprised myself that you’ve changed and I mean everything. No one of course would recognise you.’ Kira said then he started to laugh. Kana just smiled.
‘Kira, no one knows about this.’ Kana said.
‘Not even Shu?’ Kira asked. Kana shook her head. He continued; ‘You do not mind at all that he didn’t know you?’ Kana shook her head. ‘But he is....’ Kira didn’t finish his sentence and Kana still smiling.




Slowly Kana put her index finger on her lips.



‘Keep this a secret, yes?’ She questioned it with a smile.
